Stand Again...

Wrote a new song call Stand Again (right-click to download)

I hate to add vocals to it cos my whiny voice seem to ruin every song I write...but a song without lyrics/vocals sounded empty, and I wanted to put lyrics and express myself in it. So, what the heck...if you can't stand it, just delete it after listening, yah? *lol*

This time, I harmonized my singing quite alot in this song...okay, I was inspired by what Coldplay did in 'Fix it'...which Chris Martin claimed was inspired by Bee Gees' harmonizing vocals.

For the first time, I actually recorded that part using 6 different vocal parts and you can listen to the harmonized vocals here. Boy, I'm a one-man choir!! *lol*

The lyrics goes:

Stand Again

Lying next to me,
She traces the lines on my hand.
She should be
Chasing the dreams in her head.

She's only seventeen.
When she threw away her hopes
Just for the glitter life,
She doesn't realise.

People care when she's lost and feeling alone
And they try to understand her.
When all she needs is someone to guide her along.
Don't give yourself up.

So you made a big mistake.
And you can't erase
The things that you've done,
All the sorrow, the pain and the hate.

Don't throw it all away
Just give yourself
Another chance, another day,
You'll bound to get it right.

Why can't you believe that you can be loved?
You gotta learn to love yourself first.
Open your heart and you'll find
The way back again.
The light will shine your way...

(Chorus)
Believe...that you can be.
Free...from misery.
It's true...it's not the end
That you...can stand again.

After you've learnt to love yourself
You can be loved...
