Till then, go visit my band's website in the meantime: http://lgfband.com or http://youtube.com/lgfmusic
I'll be back!
My brother's friend went to Shanghai lately and brought back a gift for him. I can't resist taking pics of it the moment I saw it:

So cute!

Back of the souvenir

There's a really nice mini booklet inside the box that explains more on each of the 福娃娃 (what they call the mascots):

Oh, it's a set of keychains/handphone straps but I think they look just as great as a decorations in our room :)
My much-awaited new baby arrived on 25th Jul!! Why so long before I post an entry about it? Well, let's just say that I've been playing it almost daily, took it on its virgin gig last week and already broken her in a bit ;) Let's cut the talk and see some pictures...I present to you, Gibson CS-336, straight from the Custom Shop:

Of course, I tinkered with it, like for most of my guitars. When it first arrived, it looked like this:

This baby plays like a dream! With a semi-hollow body, it's so light that I already felt reluctant strapping on my other guitars *lol* The powerful 57' classic humbucker pickups give me all the gain I need, and yet the knobs are so responsive that I can get slight overdriven tone just by turning down the volume knobs. When I took it to the final jamming session just before my gig, my band members were really impressed with the warm tone it produces! It also raised eyebrows and won praises during the gig :) I'm a happy man!
